SBCE Community Tree Program
RESERVATIONS NOW OPEN
The Community Tree Program is back for 2026! Santa Barbara Clean Energy is excited to offer FREE TREES to the community to plant on their property. If you are a SBCE customer, you can reserve a 5-gallon tree at the link below. Once your tree is reserved, you'll receive email confirmation with the date, time, and location to pick up your tree.
This program is in support of the Climate Action Plan’s carbon sequestration measures. By planting and taking care of a tree on your property, you are making a difference by lowering carbon in your neighborhood. These native trees are drought resistant, making them more resilient to Santa Barbara's weather events.
Check out the available trees below and choose which is best for your property. When choosing a tree, it is important to think about how much space the tree will need, where to plant the tree in relation to nearby structures, how much water it may need, and where the leaves will fall.
*Our trees must be planted on private property. Do not plant trees in public spaces, parkways, or medians.
