Santa Barbara Clean Energy's Charge Up SB program helps eligible multifamily properties add electric vehicle (EV) charging with financial incentives and free expert guidance - making it easier than ever to plan and install EV chargers!

The Charge Up SB program offers:

  • Free technical support to help scope and plan your project.
  • Customized EV charger installation scenarios at no cost that are optimized to reduce capital costs and maximize incentives.
  • Incentives that cover much of the cost of EV charging equipment.

Incentives

The Charge Up SB Program provides multifamily and affordable housing multifamily property owners who are SBCE customers with incentives for Level 1 and 2 Outlets, Level 2 Charging Stations, Make Ready Infrastructure, and Power Management Hardware and Software.

How to Apply for Incentives

Check Eligibility

Determine whether your property is eligible by confirming you are a Santa Barbara Clean Energy customer.

Reserve Incentive

Fill out and submit an Incentive Reservation form.

If you are filling out the Incentive Reservation on behalf of a building/property owner, a Designated Applicant form is also required.

Complete Your Project

Projects must be fully installed and pass inspection to be complete.

Claim Your Incentive

Is your project complete and inspected? Submit your Incentive Claim form.
