Pay Less on Your Trash Bill by Generating Less Trash

Here are some handy tips for reducing your family’s waste:

  • Place recycling bins in several rooms of your home, not just the kitchen. 

  • Buy in bulk to reduce packaging. That goes for produce, dry goods, paper products, and bath products - just about anything! 

  • Check out a local refill store - don't forget to bring your own reusable containers.

  • Replace paper towels with cloth hand towels and dish towels. 

  • Use reusable bags instead of paper or plastic anytime you're shopping - not just the grocery store! 

  • Reuse plastic and glass containers as food storage. You can even bring them to restaurants for leftovers!
