Sustainable Storm Water Rebate
The Creeks Division will soon launch a Storm Water Rebate Program that will provide incentives to residents and businesses to help offset the cost of installing storm water capture devices. Rebates will be offered for rain barrels, rain gardens, disconnecting downspouts, and removal of pavement and hardscapes.
These storm water measures or best management practices (BMPs) collect storm water runoff (rain water from impervious or hard surfaces like roofs and driveways), and filter out pollutants from runoff that would otherwise end up flowing into our creeks and ocean. These storm water measures mimic a natural landscape by slowing and retaining water during storm events, and help build community resiliency against drought and flooding.
Projects that are part of a building permit or require a building permit are not eligible.
