Free Youth Environmental Programs for Local Schools

Authored on
Body

The City of Santa Barbara contracts with Explore Ecology to provide FREE youth education programs and field trips for local schools related to water conservation, trash, recycling, and composting, and creek and ocean water quality protection.

Through classroom lessons, activities, and field trips to local watersheds, students gain a deeper understanding of how their everyday choices affect the environment. Explore Ecology’s expert educators bring science to life, helping youth learn how to care for their community while developing problem-solving skills and stewardship values.

Explore Ecology educates over 30,000 children each year at Art From Scrap, the Watershed Resource Center, and in classrooms and school gardens throughout Santa Barbara County.

Teachers are invited to learn more and sign up for these fun and educational programs at ExploreEcology.org.
