Sea Level Rise Adaptation & Vulnerability Assessment

In 2021 the City adopted it’s first Sea Level Rise Adaptation Plan that identifies areas of the City that are vulnerable to up to 6.6 feet of sea-level rise, and recommends actions to adapt over time. Development of the plan was guided by an interdepartmental staff team and a Council appointed Sea Level Rise Adaptation Plan Subcommittee consisting of nine members from the City Council, Harbor Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, and Water Commission.
