Eastside Library EV Charger Project
The Eastside Library EV Charger Project includes the installation of four state-of-the-art DC Fast Chargers (DCFCs) to provide convenient Electric Vehicle (EV) charging access for the surrounding community.
The project supports the City’s 2024 Climate Action Plan by expanding EV infrastructure citywide, with a focus on underserved communities, to promote higher EV adoption. The chargers will exclusively deliver carbon-free electricity from Santa Barbara Clean Energy.

This project is funded by over $500,000 in state grants including $220,000 from California Energy Commission's Fast Charge California Program (FCC) and over $300,000 from California Transportation Commission's SB1 Cycle-3. The project is being delivered through a public-private partnership with EV charging provider Carbon Solutions Group/DirtRoad.
