In-Place Trash and Recycling Service

The City of Santa Barbara’s Sustainability & Resilience Department would like to remind residents that customers who receive in-place service, in which MarBorg Industries staff collect carts from their storage location on the property rather than requiring residents to move them to the curb, may have noticed a change in the service fee on their September bill.

The fee is now $26.75 per cart per month for 1-4 unit residential customers. This replaces the previous flat fee of $44.89 per month. 

This fee applies only to customers who receive in-place trash and recycling service.
