Celebrate 1 Million BCycle Trips with a Free Ride on Saturday!

The Sustainability & Resilience Department and Santa Barbara BCycle are excited to announce that the community has reached one million bikeshare trips since BCycle launched in 2021. To celebrate, BCycle is offering a one-time 30-minute free ride on Saturday, October 3, using promo code MILLION.

Since launching in 2021, residents and visitors in Santa Barbara have ridden over three million miles on BCycle’s pedal assist electric bikes, avoiding 428.59 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions in our community - this is the equivalent of taking 100 passenger vehicles off the road for a year. 

Today, BCycle has103 stations, 654 docks, and 324 pedal assist electric bikes throughout the City, providing a convenient and sustainable transportation option for getting around Santa Barbara.
