SCE Conducting Aerial Inspections in Santa Barbara

Southern California Edison (SCE) is continuing aerial inspections throughout Santa Barbara using drones and helicopters as part of its Wildfire Mitigation Plan.

Residents may notice increased aircraft activity as inspection crews examine electrical equipment on poles and towers for signs of wear, damage, or other conditions that could increase wildfire risk. The inspections help identify and address potential problems before they become more serious, supporting SCE's ongoing efforts to maintain a safe and reliable electric system.

Aircraft activity is expected to be brief and localized, and crews will work efficiently to minimize disruption to the community.
