Federal Electric Vehicle Tax Credit Ends September 30!

Authored on
Body

The City’s Sustainability & Resilience Department is encouraging residents considering an electric vehicle (EV) to take advantage of limited-time rebates and tax credits before they run out. The federal Clean Vehicle Tax Credit, worth up to $7,500, expires on September 30, 2025.

In addition to federal incentives, residential Santa Barbara Clean Energy customers can save even more with local rebates: up to $4,000 toward the purchase or lease of a new or used EV, $4,000 for necessary electrical upgrades, and $600 for a home EV charging station.

These incentives can significantly reduce the cost of switching to an EV, making clean transportation more accessible while also helping reduce emissions and improve local air quality.
