Volunteer Planting & Restoration Event at Adams Elementary School
The Watershed Stewards Program, in partnership with the City of Santa Barbara Creeks Division, invites community members to participate in a hands-on environmental restoration event at Adams Elementary School on Saturday, March 22.
From Creek to Campus: Storm Water Solutions at Adams Elementary, aims to mitigate the effects of storm water runoff, which can contribute to flooding and pollution in local waterways. Volunteers will work together to restore a bioswale on campus, an important feature that helps absorb rainwater, reduce erosion, and improve creek and ocean water quality. Participants will also plant native species to enhance biodiversity and create a healthier ecosystem.
Saturday, March 22
10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (check-in starts at 9:45 am)
Adams Elementary School, 2701 Las Positas Rd, Santa Barbara, CA 93105
