Home Electrification Incentives Available Now!

Body

On July 15, TECH Clean California launched contractor incentives for single-family heat pump HVAC and heat pump water heater projects. This is great news if you’re looking to electrify your home!

Incentives range from $700 to $4,300 for the Santa Barbara area for heat pump HVAC and heat pump water heater projects.

To be eligible for funding, your contractor must be enrolled with TECH Clean California and submit a reservation request on your behalf. According to TECH, most reservation requests will be approved within two weeks, and previous rounds of funding have been reserved quickly!

TECH Clean California incentives can be combined with local incentives like Santa Barbara Clean Energy’s heat pump water heater rebates (up to $3,500 for a water heater, $4,000 for electrical work, AND fast and free permitting) and the federal Home Energy Tax Credit, which ends on December 31, 2025.

These incentives will go quickly, so act now to secure funds for your projects. There’s never been a better time for City of Santa Barbara residents to switch to electric!
