Green Gardener Program Spring Enrollment Opens January 7

Registration opens January 7 for the Green Gardener Program of Santa Barbara County! This free, bilingual sustainable landscaping class empowers grounds maintenance professionals and residents with the knowledge to create healthier and more sustainable landscapes. The program is offered in partnership with the Santa Barbara County Water Agency and the cities of Santa Barbara and Goleta.

For over 25 years, the Green Gardener Program has provided landscaping professionals and casual gardeners with education on resource efficiency and pollution prevention. Participants learn how to improve the health, appearance, and value of landscapes, and have the option to post their business information on GreenGardener.org and the County’s Green Gardener public list. Graduates also enjoy discounts at local landscaping and nursery stores.

The Spring 2025 Green Gardener Program classes will run from January 27 through May 24.

Beginner Classes:

  • Mondays (Spanish) and Wednesdays
  • 5:30–8:00 p.m. at Schott Campus (Room 28)

Advanced Classes:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • 5:30–8:00 p.m. at Wake Campus (Room 05)
