The community is invited to join the City of Santa Barbara Creek Restoration and Water Quality Division in celebrating Creek Week, from Saturday, September 21 through Saturday, September 28. Creek Week is an annual opportunity for community members to learn more about our local creeks, watersheds, and the ocean through a series of fun and educational events hosted by local governmental agencies, community groups, and environmental organizations.

This year marks the 25th Annual Creek Week, a milestone event that will kick off on Saturday, September 21 with Coastal Cleanup Day, where community members can volunteer at over 25 beach and creek locations countywide. Creek Week will feature over 30 events and activities for all ages, including educational tours, restoration projects, wildlife paddles, a falcon demonstration, nature walks, and more.

The Creeks Division will host a tour of Mission Creek Restoration Project at Oak Park, a casual Coffee at the Creek event at the Bird Refuge, and a walk along Lower Mission Creek as part of the new Urban Creek Trails program. Community members can join the Creeks Division for a Creek Week Happy Hour at the Brewhouse, featuring a special Creek Week-inspired beer, and connect with local organizations dedicated to creek restoration and water quality improvement efforts.
